It’s not very social. It’s basically a place to keep a scrapbook and people stumble on your scrapbook and either say they like your particular post or they share it. This is the first conversation I’ve had here. I like it for its connection to Twitter. You can do a longer post here and send it there. My impression is that it’s great for people who like sharing photos, infographics that kind of thing. Big topics seem to be foodporn, fashion, and photography (wildlife, food, fashion, architecture). For anything else it seems rather clunky.
Thanks! I did…but it’s not that easy to notice. :-/ Got the email notification but then had to scroll around to figure which post you’d reblogged. Not too helpful, really. But people are nuts about Tumblr right now, so I’m checking it out. The “social” part of it doesn’t seem very social…?
Conversing on Tumblr is difficult at best. All you can do is reblog what someone else has posted and add your own comments… and hope that they notice that you did. So… did you notice?
I’m old. I generally have no idea what I’m looking at here. I often feel as if I’ve been transported into the Void (which is not to say it’s not interesting and educational). Do people talk here? As in back and forth? Where? How?
Thanks…
